UZBEK-SINGAPORE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO BE ESTABLISHED
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a number of local organizations signed an agreement with Singapore's Oceanus Group to establish an Uzbek-Singapore Chamber of Commerce. The cooperation is aimed at developing trade and investment opportunities of the two countries.
On January 16, on the eve of state visit of President of Uzbekistan, we informed that Uzbek-Singaporean business forum was held in Singapore with an aim of comprehensive strengthening of business relations between businessmen of both countries. An agreement on setting up the Uzbek-Singapore Chamber of Commerce was signed during the business forum.
The founders of Uzbek-Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (coordinator), Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Oʼzsanoateksport JSC, Oʼztoʼqimachiliksanoat Association, Oʼztoʼqimachiliksanoat LLC and BMB Trade Group LLC are among the founding members.
The Uzbek-Singapore Chamber of Commerce aims to develop trade and investment opportunities for Uzbekistan in Singapore and AСEAN countries.
At the first stage of cooperation, the sides agreed on organizing exports of pulses, processed fruits and vegetables, nuts and chicken meat from Uzbekistan to markets of Singapore, China and AСEAN countries.
In the second stage of cooperation, the Singaporean company plans to invest in and engage Uzbek exporters to expand their activities and increase export volumes by improving the quality of their products.
