From the Turkish side participated: President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarciklioglu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Secretary General of the ECO CCI Adem Kula, Rector of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of TOBB University of Economics and TechnologyGuven Sak, and co-chairman of the joint Uzbek-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry Osman Sahlan.
At the event, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Ikramov made an opening speech, where he expressed gratitude to the President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarcıklioglu and the staff of the TOBB ETU University for their significant contribution to the creation of the Tashkent branch of this university.
It should be noted that during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey, on February 19, Ankara hosted the first meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish Council for Strategic Cooperation of the highest level, as a result of which the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey signed Memorandum on the opening in Tashkent of a branch of TOBB University of Economics and Technology.
On June 17, 2020, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 389 on the opening of a branch of the TOBB University of Economics and Technologyin Tashkentwas adopted.
The branch of the university is located in the capital and will train specialists in the field of business and entrepreneurship based on the dual education system. The training will last for three terms. Students will have a unique opportunity to undergo internships in different countries, during their studies to get acquainted with the activities of the world’s leading companies, as well as famous entrepreneurs in Turkey.
The peculiarity of the university is that the curriculum is a three-month educational process based on DOUBLE education, which balances the formation of practical skills in the 3rd semester along with theoretical knowledge for 2 semesters. This feature of the university has ensured its special place in the Turkish education system.
Students have a unique opportunity to travel to Turkey. In the third trimester, they will get acquainted with the activities of leading Turkish companies and well-known entrepreneurs, and will also undertake internships in large enterprises in the field of the electrical industry, in the textile and fruit and vegetable clusters in Turkey.
